Project Management
D & G Builders and Joiners enjoys a solid reputation when it comes to Project and Contract Management. We are able to lead a building construction or refurbishment scheme from its conception to completion. We liaise with sub-contractors to ensure that programs are met and delivered in an acceptable time scale, with an emphasis on 'Safe Construction Sites'.
We maintain good relationships with our sub-contractors across all areas of expertise. Over the years we have been in business, we have developed our practice of being non-confrontational which has allowed relationships and trust to develop and grow.
Joinery and Carpentry
Our joinery department operates from a joiners workshop providing back up for the carpenters and joiners on site. D & G joiners manufacture bespoke items such as reception counters, door frames, windows, staircases, balustrades, gates and many other items that require specialist joinery skills.
Our on site carpenters and fitters are highly trained in all types of work including wall construction, suspended ceilings, fire doors, casings, skirtings, fitted kitchens, cabinets and shelving.
This department has for many years turned out high quality work for a large number of corporate clients across the North West and other regions in the UK.
Building/Construction
D & G Builders and Joiners have a strong team that provides all the trades required for building and construction works such as extensions, conversions, interior and exterior property developments, adaptions and installations. Our comprehensive range of professional building services includes development of design ideas and project/contract management.
Contract Flooring
D & G Builders and Joiners has completed many contract flooring schemes. We have fitted all kinds of flooring, including Amtico, Marmoleum, vinyl and vinyl tiles, carpet tiles, broadloom carpet and barrier mats.
We have fitted contract flooring in the following buildings:
Shimadzu Research Laboratory, Old Trafford, Manchester
The One Health Spa, Preston, Lancashire
Wrightington Hospital (Ward Refurbishment), Lancashire
We have also fitted Wet Floors, one of our Adaptations for the Disabled.
Painting and Decorating
D & G Builders and Joiners has its own small works decorating department which enables us to provide professional services with quick and effective response times.
Larger operations are undertaken by one of our approved painting and decorating sub-contractors.
Plumbing
D & G Builders and Joiners employs a small team of very capable plumbers which enables us to provide professional services with quick and effective response times. We make sure that our plumbers are available to our clients to respond to their needs.
On larger projects, we may use one of a number of mechanical contractors with plumbing and heating engineers. All of our mechanical sub-contractors are well established within the area that they work and adhere to the same high level of Health & Safety standards that are required by our clients.
Electrical
D & G Builders and Joiners employ electricians and electrical engineers as sub-contractors to provide specialist electrical services.
All the electrical work on small developements and larger construction schemes is carried out by well trained, professional electricians.
We have long standing working relationships with all of our electrical sub-contractors and with every project they have worked on, a high level of specialist knowledge has been demonstrated.
Our electrical sub-contractors have proven Health & Safety records, and we ensure that they also follow up work with stringent inspection and testing regimes.
The feedback from our clients indicates a high level of satisfaction with the electrical services we provide.
